Two Barnstable United Elementary University pupils – Yasmin Ferreira and Brady Lipper – and their trainer, Heather Raye, are amid the winners of the Steamship Authority’s sixth once-a-year “Sail Into Imagination” art contest for K-12 pupils.
The profitable artwork will be showcased in a 2022 calendar, onboard SSA ferries, as properly as exhibited on the SSA’s site.
Each individual year, the contest encourages college students to use their imaginations and artistry to share their visions of touring aboard SSA ferries to Cape and Islands ports and to inspire creative interpretations of developing up by the sea.
The contest is open up to learners from any city on the Cape, additionally residents of Martha’s Winery, Nantucket, Fairhaven, or New Bedford. A lot more than 150 entries were being received this year.
New to this year’s contest, a single instructor was selected at random to win a $100 gift card to a regional art supply shop of their alternative. The winning instructor was Mrs. Raye from Barnstable United Elementary School.
